Analyses met een zetmeelgehalte lager dan 250 g\/kg DS zijn niet meegenomen.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ba344dc elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"ba344dc\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"translation-block\">Snijma&iuml;s speelt een cruciale rol bij het stimuleren van de melkproductie in de veehouderij vanwege zijn rijke voedingsprofiel en verteerbaarheid. Als voedergrondstof biedt snijma&iuml;s een uitstekende bron van energie, voornamelijk in de vorm van zetmeel. Daarnaast is snijma&iuml;s een goede bron van verteerbare vezels, die bijdragen aan een gezonde pensfermentatie en de algehele verteerbaarheid van het voer verbeteren. Het VEM-gehalte (VoederEenheid Melk) is een maatstaf die de energiewaarde van voedermiddelen aangeeft. Een hoger VEM-gehalte betekent dus dat het voedermiddel meer energie bevat. Dit kan verklaard worden door de concurrentie tussen de processen waarbij de plant voedingsstoffen gebruikt, deels voor de synthese van zetmeel en deels voor de synthese van eiwit. Dit microbi&euml;le eiwit belandt in de dunne darm en valt zo onder de noemer van DarmVerteerbaar Eiwit. Vanuit deze insteek kan besloten worden dat een zetmeelrijkere snijma&iuml;skuil over het algemeen gepaard gaat met een hoger DVE-gehalte.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"translation-block\">\n\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Onderstaande figuur bevestigt deze trend; 1 DVE = 0,065 x ZET + 27,39.
